Hearing the first reading of C-201, a private member’s bill from NDP MP Don Davies that calls for the development of a national school-food program, was an exciting day for parents and advocates across the country. Yet, school food advocates are still holding their breath, waiting for funding to seal the deal, as similar promises have been made before.
