Jones Park was alive with sights, sounds, and tastes of our community. Our office was happy to host a booth and be a stop on the “passport” scavenger hunt!
Don was joined by Suzie Mah, Vancouver School Board Trustee, and Sherry Stevenson, Executive Director of Fresh Roots Urban Farm at a town hall to discuss the national school nutrition program.
Don has championed a universal National School Nutrition Program so every child in Canada has access to healthy meals at school. Now, with $1 billion committed over five years, we've taken a step forward - but there's more to do.
Don, Suzie and Sherry discussed how we can integrate local food providers, Indigenous food initiatives, and sustainable farm-to-school programs to create a healthier, more resilient food system.
We are thrilled to honour the outstanding recipients of the King Charles III Coronation Medal in our community. These medals recognize everyday heroes who uplift others and strengthen the fabric of Canadian society.

We had a fabulous turnout for our 2024 Vancouver Kingsway Community BBQ!
This was our biggest event yet; we served over 2500 hot dogs, watermelon, chips and lemonade.
