We had a fabulous turnout for our 2024 Vancouver Kingsway Community BBQ!
This was our biggest event yet; we served over 2500 hot dogs, watermelon, chips and lemonade.
Special thanks to my staff, our fabulous volunteers and all of our constituents who came together to celebrate our community and connect with neighbours.
Thank you to the Victoria Drive Business Improvement Association for celebrating the diverse cultures and cuisines that make Vancouver Kingsway so vibrant! Jones Park was alive with sights, sounds, and tastes of our community. Our office was happy to host a booth and be a stop on the “passport” scavenger hunt!
We had a fantastic turnout for the nationwide NDP Day of Action here in Vancouver Kingsway on Saturday, April 6 at the corner of Knight St and 49th Ave.
Joining us for the rally and door knocking was Vancouver South NDP candidate Manoj Bhangu!
Plenty of support for dental care and Pharmacare in the community and its clear that people agree we need to send more NDP MPs like Manoj to Ottawa to accomplish even more for Canadians.

We hosted a Disability Tax Credit Information Session with guest speaker Peter Julian MP at the Italian Cultural Centre, where participants learned how to apply, eligibility criteria and other useful tips. They also learned how it can qualify recipients for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).
On behalf of the people of Vancouver Kingsway, I would like to thank the dedicated and hardworking firefighters at halls 13, 15 and 20 for keeping us safe all year round, and particularly during the holiday season.
Today I had the pleasure of delivering Purdy’s chocolates to the fire halls to express our deep appreciation for all they do to keep our communities safe.
