We hosted a Disability Tax Credit Information Session with guest speaker Peter Julian MP at the Italian Cultural Centre, where participants learned how to apply, eligibility criteria and other useful tips. They also learned how it can qualify recipients for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).
Don was joined by Suzie Mah, Vancouver School Board Trustee, and Sherry Stevenson, Executive Director of Fresh Roots Urban Farm at a town hall to discuss the national school nutrition program.
Don has championed a universal National School Nutrition Program so every child in Canada has access to healthy meals at school. Now, with $1 billion committed over five years, we've taken a step forward - but there's more to do.
Don, Suzie and Sherry discussed how we can integrate local food providers, Indigenous food initiatives, and sustainable farm-to-school programs to create a healthier, more resilient food system.

This was our biggest event yet; we served over 2500 hot dogs, watermelon, chips and lemonade.
